Worship is at the heart of the Irvington Presbyterian Church.
Through Scripture, song, prayer, and preaching, worship immerses the congregation in God’s grand story of reconciliation and redemption.
Worship provides us a reflective space to hear from God, to ponder the meaning and purpose of life, and to imagine how we might live faithfully, creatively, and justly in the world.
Nursery care is available for young children during our worship services.
Worship is also live-streamed on our YouTube channel here.
The Sacraments
The Presbyterian Church recognizes two sacraments (“visible signs of God’s invisible grace”): The Lord’s Supper (also known as Communion or Eucharist) and baptism.
The Lord’s Supper, which is open to all desiring the grace of God, is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Baptism, which is a commitment on the part of the parents/guardians and the congregation to raise the child in a loving Christian environment, is held during the regular Sunday morning service. The church also holds adult baptism as a rite of entry into the congregation for people who were not baptized as infants. Please contact Rev. Crawford if interested at: [email protected].
