We are excited to announce the addition of a new youth coordinator to our staff at IPC. David Bryan will minister in this new position, jointly shared by IPC and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. As youth coordinator, David will lead twice monthly gatherings for both high school and middle school students. David is a life-long Episcopalian and has served most recently at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Manhattan in a variety of roles.
Originally from NC, David has lived in NYC for two decades. He has sung with numerous notable ensembles, including the New York Philharmonic, American Symphony Orchestra, Collegiate Chorale, Vox Ensemble, Early Music New York and Bachworks. David holds a BA in music, a BA in religious studies and an MA in liberal studies from UNC-Greensboro, as well as an MA in theology from Union Theological Seminary, where he wrote a thesis on Grateful Dead Theology. A gifted musician, he plays mandolin, guitar, piano, lap dulcimer, and strumstick.
David will officially begin on February 1. A welcome reception will be scheduled in mid-February before settling into a regular schedule, altnerating between the middle school cohort and the high school cohort.
