Irvington Presbyterian Church has a rich tradition of bringing high quality music to both its parishioners and the community, both in services and concerts. All are welcome to attend or participate in the choir. Music is not only a wonderful way to glorify God, and to share your musical gifts with the church.
Director of Music
Jon Riss, holds degrees in Choral Conducting and Music Education from Temple University and Ithaca College, and earned the prestigious distinction of Fellow of the American Guild of Organists in 2016. Jon has been a professional church musician since 1999 and is the Director of Choral Activities at Hastings High School and Farragut Middle School in Hastings-on-Hudson.
Chancel Choir
We welcome all singers in high school and older to join the Chancel Choir. They rehearse weekly and sing in worship throughout the program year.
The ministry of the choir is led in part by our section leaders:

The Organ
– Orgelbau Klais (2001), 29 stops over 3 manuals and pedal.
As part of its commitment to the role of music in worship, the church installed a world-class pipe organ designed by the acclaimed Klais Orgelbau pipe organ firm located in Bonn, Germany. The organ made its debut on Easter Sunday, 2001.
