Greening of the Irvington Presbyterian Church will take place on Saturday, December 8th from 12 – 2 pm and Saturday, December 15th from 10 am to 12 pm. Please join us in getting in the Christmas spirit as we participate in the greening of the church!
Tots to Teen Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 15th from 12 – 2 pm. All children ages 1 and older are invited to participate in making ornaments and decorating the tree in the parlor. Lunch will be served! Please RSVP to let Zack at [email protected].
‘Hour Children’ Toy Drive is taking place now until the Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 16th. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to the Irvington Presbyterian Church office or place in marked boxes in the Parlor. The Hour Children Parenting Center is at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. Hour Children® was named to acknowledge the important hours that shape the life of a child with an incarcerated mother. Founded 25 years ago, the organization strives to end the cycle of intergenerational incarceration. While Christmas is a special time of joy, the holidays are not always joyful for children and teens whose mothers are incarcerated. While most toys, games and books are fine, The Hour Children Parenting Center cannot accept:
- Used or wrapped toys
- Baseball bats
- Items with mirrors or glass
- Scissors or pocket knives
- Wooden toys
- Clay or Play-Doh
- Soft dolls or stuffed animals
- Body wash containing alcohol
- Metal bling (e.g. rhinestones)
- Any metal items or toys in tins
- Digital watches
- Electronics or DVDs
- Teen/adult clothing
- Blue, black, orange or gray-colored baby clothing/blankets
PW’S Christmas Workshops will be held on Thursday, December 20th at 10 am to 12 pm at the Cabrini Nursing Home and on Tuesday, January 8th from 10 am to 12 pm at Kendal on Hudson. Melissa Brown is leading the workshops for residents of these facilities. At this workshop the Presbyterian Women will be assisting the residents in creating floral center pieces. Carol Service will be held on Sunday, December 16th at 4pm.
Christmas Dinner will be on Sunday, Dec. 16th following the carol service.

Family Christmas Eve Service will be held on Monday, December 24th at 4pm.
Living Creche will take place immediately after the 4 pm Family Christmas Eve service on Monday, December 24th. Participants will sign-up for 1⁄2 hour slots until the 11 pm service, as attendance allows. Share cocoa & snacks and fellowship with friends. Sign-ups coming soon. 5th graders and up: Re-create the good news for the community through the story of the nativity. Friends are welcome!
