We are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam McAllister as the new Director of Christian Education here at Irvington Presbyterian Church! Adam hails from a small town called Bluefield in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, and recently moved to West New York, New Jersey with his partner, Alex, after completing his Masters of Divinity at Boston University’s School of Theology. Adam’s studies included integrating Pop Culture and Theology, through studies of music, theater, film, and other media.
“As well as creating Spiritual Practices and Guidance for Performing Artist communities. I feel a deep sense of calling to ecclesial ministry, particularly into discipleship and education, and what it means to incorporate our daily lives (school, work, hobbies, etc.) into the life of the church and our faith journeys. I am excited to begin this journey of creating an educational space for all ages to learn and grow in their spiritual walk, and how to live out our faith in the communities in which we spend our time.” ~ Adam McAllister
